My favorite female, gay, atheist blogger, Greta Christina, has a nice post up listing Seven Reasons for Atheists to Celebrate the Holidays.
(By favorite female, gay, atheist blogger,
I mean she's my favorite female blogger, my favorite gay blogger, and my favorite atheist blogger. But, maybe for the sake of consistency, I should write her name as Greta Xina?
)
Everyone here at Secular Xmas (meaning just I) wish you a Merry Squidmas!

K'NEX are great construction toys that let you build big-ass structures that are surprisingly sturdy.
One benefit/limitation is that the pieces are all color coded, which makes it hard to build things that look good, color-wise.
Not so for the Knex Christmas Wreath, which uses the colors to great advantage.
Detailed instructions, including 149 photos, are included.
This is simply awesome and I think I need to dig out my big box-o-K'nex and see if I have enough of the needed pieces.
No, not the Fountains of Wayne song. It's alien/Xmas papercraft!
First up is Saturn Claus, a classic green alien, complete with antennae and a Santa Suit.
Then there's a Martian Conquering Santa Claus.
After all, why should such a great holiday be limited to any one world?

Here's a cute and easy Felt Xmas Monster.
It would be dead simple to modify the shape.
Big Fat Whale has a wonderful graphic up illustrating atheist holiday traditions.
I could really go for some Darwin gingerbread cookies, with all that luscious beard frosting!

Cubeecraft blank templates form the basis of a vast variety of papercraft people.
For the 2009 Christmas season, we have the Three Wise Guys. No, wait, Men.
The Three Wise Men, or Kings, or Magi, or whatever the hell you want to call them.

Sparkle Labs has a cute little papercraft tree inside of which you're supposed to stick a light.
(They also have an LED Menorah, but this ain't Secular Hanukkah, now is it?)

Who doesn't love sledding? And we all love Santa!
So, everyone should love a Santa on a sled!
