That's right! Deal with it!
See, Xmas wasn't that big a deal in the days of old. In fact, the Puritans banned it when they could.
Its revival is arguably due to Dickens and his A Christmas Carol,
according to
The Man Who Invented Christmas.
So, yeah, what we see as Christmas
is not some centuries-old set of traditions. It some stuff Dickens came up with 150 years ago, plus a whole bunch of existing pagan-ish stuff. Plus a whole butt-load of both religious and secular influences. It's a buffet. Treat it as such!
