Chumby Software

The Chumby is a soft stuffed ball-thing, containing a Linux box and touchscreen. There's also a brand-new version that's cheaper and housed in a hard-case.

It basically rotates through a series of small Flash applications, called widgets. Even if you don't have a Chumby, the apps are Flash and can be run in a browser (as long as they don't access the mothership Chumby server). Since they're designed for the limited power of a Chumby, they won't take up a huge chunk of your computer's resources.

Unfortunately, the Chumby widget page doesn't have a Holiday category. (It looks like widgets can be assigned to one and only one category. That would help explain this lack. Maybe they should hire a DBA?) Anyway, you'll have to look around a bit to find the appropriate stuff.
