Need a vector-drawn snowflake? And need to generate it on different platforms? Give Vector Snowflake Application a try. (Catchy name, that.)

There are loads of goofy apps for the iPhone and iPod touch. So many that it's impossible to check them all out. There are virtual Xmas trees, snowglobes, music streamers, countdown clocks, gift listers, games and more. Here are some starting places:
Christmasapps.
Xmasapps.
Holidayapps.
Santaapps.
Yuleapps.
The Chumby is a soft stuffed ball-thing, containing a Linux box and touchscreen. There's also a brand-new version that's cheaper and housed in a hard-case.
It basically rotates through a series of small Flash applications, called widgets. Even if you don't have a Chumby, the apps are Flash and can be run in a browser (as long as they don't access the mothership Chumby server). Since they're designed for the limited power of a Chumby, they won't take up a huge chunk of your computer's resources.
Unfortunately, the Chumby widget page doesn't have a Holiday
category. (It looks like widgets can be assigned to one and only one category. That would help explain this lack. Maybe they should hire a DBA?) Anyway, you'll have to look around a bit to find the appropriate stuff.
